Now this is for all the guys out there who struggle with buying there girlfriend a gift. I know the pressure of wanting to get them the perfect gift, and ultimately you want to look like the man in the end. Not all women are the same, so I will talk about a few different personality types, and what you can do for that special someone. Gift ideas for girlfriends can always be tuff but if you follow my advice I think you will see that with a little planning and knowing your girlfriend you can make a great impression.

Ok let’s start out with you first type of girl which I like to call the “I wear the pants in this relationship girl” now if you have a girlfriend like this you have your work cut out for you right out of the gate. Women with a very strong “A” type personality is one you have to know all of her likes and dislikes right up front. If this is your girlfriend and you’re unaware of these things stop and get the crucial information and come back. Ok assuming you have a good idea of what your girlfriend or wife likes, you want to start a month in advance trying to pick up on hints, and settle suggestions. When I had a girlfriend with this type of personality, I would start getting women magazine, and asking her if she wanted to go to the mall, and just walk around. You need to pay close attention to what she likes, and what she comments on this may be your only opportunity to get the information needed to buy her the ultimate birth day gift. Needless to say this always work for me, and she pretty much thought I was really in tune with her feeling, and paid attention if she only knew all the work that went into that gift.

Ok let’s talk about the girly girl the one who wants to have her nails and hair done twice a month, and loves to go and buy new clothes all the time, yea the girlfriend that will make you go broke if you don’t have a good job girl. You know you can buy this girl jewelry and surprise her with flowers either at work, or in school, no matter what you do not want to miss that opportunity. A girly girlfriend wants attention to some degree, maybe not a lot depending on her personality type, but they defiantly want to be recognized, and done in public. So what do you do for these types of girlfriends? First if you truly care and you’re happy in the relationship you spoil them. You can go with the nice necklace or bracelet, and take them out for a very nice dinner, and they will be happy, but if you want to really take their breath away, you plan a getaway weekend, and don’t give them any information of were or what you will be doing. If you’re like me you will spend a few grand on their birthday anyhow, so why not make it fun for the both of you. With the great deals that are out there now days for trips you can find a bargain just about anywhere, and she will love you for it. I did this many years ago when I was dating a girl, and I just told her be ready for a fun pack weekend. I first pick her up and we drove down to Long Beach were we got on the Catalina Express Boat, at this point she had a good idea of where we were going, which was Catalina island. Once we arrived we check into our hotel, and I had a whole day planed out of horseback riding, and doing some snorkeling. We hit the clubs that night and had an amazing time after all the site seeing. When we got back to Long Beach she thought the trip was over, and to her surprise we drove up to Magic Mountain for the rest of the day and went on a bunch of rides, and just had a blast together. Now I am telling all this because I was able to take a little time and plan out a fun weekend, and still only spent $1200.00 for everything, and she thought it was the best birthday she has ever had, and I was able to have just as much fun. Try to do things outside the box for the girly girlfriends.

Ok the last type of girlfriend I want to talk about is the shy girl, or the one that say I don’t want you to get me anything I am happy just having you. There are some simply types of girls out there, and just really don’t get all that excited about going shopping or getting new things. These types of girls are very east to buy gifts for. Here what you do if you have a girlfriend like this, first you plan and make her a very nice home cook meal. During the meal if you give her a birthday card with a gift card for Barnes and Noble, and you want to really take your time here on my last part. What I have found is simply girls like things that don’t really take money but for you’re to do something different for them, I will give you one example of something I did once, and it was a hit. Depending on how old she is turning, like let’s say 25 hypothetical, you would right down 25 amazing things about her, and make is very personal and special to her, and you will have a homerun with that simple gift.

If there is one thing I have learn about women is, you will never ever be able to figure them out, but you can always make them smile with just a little effort and time. Find that inner soft guy within your self, and let go off the tuff guy attiude once in a while, and show your girlfriend how much you care for her.
