Now this brings one to the most practical of questions and that is why would a regular person on the street need this sort of equipment? Wouldn’t this equipment be more suited for a private investigator type or even, well let’s not sugarcoat it, the paranoid type of nut job? Well maybe you could consider this scenario. We all have breakdowns with our laptops or netbooks and as a consequence we have to take them in for repairs. We have a lot of ‘privileged’ information on our laptop, secured to a certain degree with a password and similar safeguards. This is just another way we can take responsibility for our own security and that can only make us feel better, especially in today’s somewhat insecure environment.
